Giles Tech Builds

The NRV Habitat for Humanity partners with Giles Technical School each year to build a home in Giles County.  Students work with their instructor throughout the school year to build a housing module.  These modules are then moved onto a foundation in the community, and it is then finished by volunteers and specialty contractors where required. 

 

The impact of this program is important:

• Giles Tech Students get valuable hands-on training.

• A beautiful home is built for a qualifying Giles County resident.

• Materials and supplies are purchased in the community where the house is constructed, creating a ripple effect.

• Giles County has a newly productive parcel of land.
