Homes On Church Street: The overall value of the project, including reimbursement from the Town of Blacksburg for $184,000 in site work, is approximately $1.2 million. Blacksburg Presbyterian Church donated the land for the project. In addition to providing the land, the church used income from its endowment fund to provide the roofs. Blacksburg United Methodist Church was able to raise $50,000 that went directly toward the foundation of these seven new townhomes. The project features two 1,500 square foot one-and-a-half-story units with first floor bedrooms and zero-step entrances, completely accessible for those with disabilities. There are 7 1,500 square foot two-story interior units. All units are Earthcraft- and Energy Star-certified for energy efficiency.
