Constructing: We are committed to building energy-efficient, affordable housing that provides families with a stable foundation and long-term financial security.

Repairing: By addressing critical home repairs, we help families maintain safe, comfortable living conditions, which improves health outcomes and preserves housing affordability.

Why Your Capital Contribution Matters
This year we invested over $1.63 million in local construction and repair activities, providing safe and stable housing for families who need it most. This investment built new homes and fueled economic growth in the New River Valley, supporting local jobs and businesses. However, with housing costs continuing to rise and demand far outstripping supply, your capital contributions are essential to helping us meet the growing need for affordable housing. Airport Road Townhomes: Building for the Future
We are excited to introduce the Airport Road Townhomes project, an 11-unit development in Blacksburg that will serve as a sustainable, affordable housing model. These homes will be built with energy efficiency in mind, incorporating high-quality materials and sustainable design standards to minimize long-term utility costs for residents. The homes will also be part of the New River Home Trust, a local community land trust that ensures these properties remain affordable for generations by removing the land cost from the purchase price.

Hayden Place and Stafford Drive Dedications: This year, we celebrated the completion and dedication of new homes on Hayden Place and Stafford Drive, which welcomed families who have long dreamed of owning their own homes. These projects were made possible through the dedicated efforts of volunteers, community partners, and donors like you.

Economic Impact in 2024: This year's efforts have contributed significantly to the local economy, generating a ripple effect that extends far beyond the families directly benefiting from our housing initiatives. For every dollar invested in our projects an additional 74 cents is injected into the local economy, creating jobs and driving economic growth.
